I think Scotty bought Satori from her previous owners Gay & Ed Thompson. Most people don't realize or remember that the vessel is ferro-cement, making for a very different haulout and other maintenance.
She is still afloat after 40 years and on her 3rd owner,and doing well day sailing down island, however. Ferro got a bad name but she was well-built and a real beauty, inside and out! We were so glad that she has had 2 more captains that loved her as much as we did.
